\nThe Ferrara plant in Italy, with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes of ammonia and 550,000 tonnes of urea, transforms natural gas into ammonia and urea, which are the main components in the production of nitrogen fertilizers and chemicals.<\/p>\n

The production of ammonia is based on the use of methane supplied via pipelines. The 60% of the ammonia produced is used directly in the production of urea, the rest is sent via pipeline to the plant in Ravenna.
